چکیده
A two-year-old male Pomeranian dog was presented to a veterinary hospital due the side effects of surgical correction for patellar luxation. Stifle joint arthrodesis (SJA) performed on patient’s right leg using autologous bone-grafting techniques. The femur and tibial were angled 120–130°, an SJA plate fixed front two bones. After performing fusion limb, medial-patellar-luxation-(MPL)-corrective surgery cut tuberosity left leg, fixing force increased figure-of-eight-tension-band-wiring technique. Results recorded regarding dog’s ability walk trot in hind limb; these results evaluated 27 days after surgery. It difficult patient because weight-bearing had not been carried out 3 surgery; short strides partial weight bearing possible 5 7 10 days, able move while with slight disruption. With regard trotting, showed intermittent normal steps surgery, but disruption continued. 14 trotting possible, it observed that movement could be maintained during everyday activities.

Stifle arthrodesis using a locking plate system in six dogs.
OBJECTIVES To describe the use of the Fixin locking plate system for stifle arthrodesis in dogs and to retrospectively report the clinical and radiographic outcomes in six cases. MATERIALS AND METHODS Medical records of dogs that had arthrodesis with the Fixin locking plate system were reviewed. For each patient, data pertaining to signalment and implant used were recorded. Plate series and t...
متن کاملEffect of Therapeutic Pulsed Ultrasound in Dogs with Experimental Stifle Joint Osteoarthritis
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of therapeutic ultrasound upon some functional parameters in dogs with stifle joint osteoarthritis. Experimental osteoarthritis was induced in 6 mixedbreed dogs by injections of sodium monoiodoacetate in the left knee joint. The right joint served as control. The clinical and goniometric status of dogs was monitored at post injections days...
متن کاملArthroscopic Ankle Arthrodesis for Treating Osteoarthritis in a Patient with Kashin-Beck Disease
Kashin-Beck disease (KBD) is an endemic degenerative osteoarthritis. Death of cartilage and growth plate is the pathologic feature; therefore, KBD involves skeletal deformity and often results in osteoarthritis. Deficiency of selenium, high humic acid levels in water, and fungi on storage gains are considered the cause of KBD. The most frequently involved joints are ankles, knees, wrists, and e...
متن کاملClinical changes in sodium monoiodoacetate–induced stifle osteoarthritis model in dogs
In six dogs, experimental model of osteoarthritis (OA) was reproduced by intraarticular injection of sodium monoiodoacetate (MIA) in left stifle joints. Contralateral joints served as control. The clinical status and some goniometric parameters were monitored before MIA introduction and at post injection days 30, 60 and 105. The results showed convincingly that the used experimental chemical OA...
متن کاملSubtalar Joint Arthrodesis
The following investigation consists of a retrospective review of more than 50 patients having undergone an isolated subtalar joint fusion for the correction of the multi-planar flatfoot deformity. These results support the notion that the isolated subtalar joint fusion can provide enhanced stability in selected patients with painful flatfoot deformities. Radiographic evaluation & chart review ...
